Daily book recommendation

Today's book recommendation is...drum roll please...

HALF-BLOOD by Jennifer L. Armentrout!

Jennifer is one of my all time favorite authors and I am a fan of all her books (and she has A LOT of them). If you are a fan of Percy Jackson or Vampire Academy, prepare to be hooked!

The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals--well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

Whats up with the 'City of Ashes' movie?! Well, heres what I know...

As you all know I LOVE The Mortal Instruments series but that doesn't mean that I would think there should be more movies accompanying the City of Bones movie. Don't get me wrong, there was a time that I REALLY wanted the CoA movie to be made but now....eh.

We have been kept in the dark for so long as to whether or not there will be another TMI film. City of Bones didn't do too well in the box office and only brought in $60,000,000. I know that sounds like a whole lot but in the movie business its not.

When I first entered this wonderful Shadowhunter fandom I was a fan of the books and I honestly didn't know there was going to be a movie. I am always going to be a fan of the books but that doesn't necessarily mean I am a fan of the film. I think the acting in the movie was superb but the script and placement of some of the scenes... not so much. It was overcomplicated and hard to follow, even for me! I know I may sound hypocritical since I have the biggest TMI fan account (which I am so thankful for every single day, I love you guys.) but I started that account for the books because they are truly something special.

I definitely got my hopes up for the City of Bones movie and now that I look back, that wasn't such a great idea. This was because I didn't allow myself to see the movies flaws because my love for the film was too strong. It was fun while all the hype lasted but once the movie failed...not so much. I'm not saying that I didn't like the movie because I did! But now looking back I see how certain aspects of it would lead it to fail in the box office (sad as it is). The box-office can be VERY mundane sometimes....just saying. AHH I feel like such a negative Nancy right now but I SWEAR I don't mean to be. I just don't want to sugarcoat anything for you guys since I care for you.

On the other hand I would definitely like to see an Infernal Devices movie/TV show but if that ever happens I want them to take as much time as they need to perfect the script and all that other fun stuff before they start the actual production.

The reason I am writing this is because some rumors have surface about CoA moving on in production and I'm here to say that nothing is for certain yet. I would hate for us all to get excited over nothing because that would really blow.

Anywayssss some exciting new that I want to share with you all is that I'll be doing a City of Heavenly Fire book trailer! YAY! It will be out right before the release of CoHF which hits shelves May 27th (BE PREPARED FOR THE FEELS....and death. Yeah. Lots of death.)!!

Thanks for reading Shadowhunters and stay hopeful for some news regarding CoA or any other shadowhunter series in the near future. <3

Two years ago, the aliens made contact. Now Cara Sweeney is going to be sharing a bathroom with one of them.

Handpicked to host the first-ever L’eihr exchange student, Cara thinks her future is set. Not only does she get a free ride to her dream college, she’ll have inside information about the mysterious L’eihrs that every journalist would kill for. Cara’s blog following is about to skyrocket.

Still, Cara isn’t sure what to think when she meets Aelyx. Humans and L’eihrs have nearly identical DNA, but cold, infuriatingly brilliant Aelyx couldn’t seem more alien. She’s certain about one thing, though: no human boy is this good-looking.

But when Cara's classmates get swept up by anti-L'eihr paranoia, Midtown High School suddenly isn't safe anymore. Threatening notes appear in Cara's locker, and a police officer has to escort her and Aelyx to class.

Cara finds support in the last person she expected. She realizes that Aelyx isn’t just her only friend; she's fallen hard for him. But Aelyx has been hiding the truth about the purpose of his exchange, and its potentially deadly consequences. Soon Cara will be in for the fight of her life—not just for herself and the boy she loves, but for the future of her planet.
